You will find plenty of sites willing to put a single number on a brokerage licence. Treat that number with suspicion. Anyone quoting a fixed price before they understand your business is either selling one specific product or guessing, because the real cost is driven by choices you have not made yet.
That is how pricing in this industry genuinely works. What we can do is show you the levers, so when you do get a figure, you understand what sits behind it.
The jurisdiction
This is the biggest single driver. A top onshore regulator and an entry-level offshore regime are different orders of magnitude, in application effort, in capital, and in ongoing obligations. Choosing the right jurisdiction is therefore the choice that moves the cost more than any other, which is exactly why it should be driven by your business, not by the sticker price.
The capital requirement
Most regulated brokerages must hold minimum capital, and that figure varies widely by jurisdiction and by the permissions you hold. It is not a fee you pay away. It is capital you must have in the business. But it is real money committed, and it belongs at the centre of any serious cost conversation rather than buried in a footnote.
New build or acquisition
Applying for a new licence and acquiring an existing one carry different cost shapes. A new application is largely a cost of work and time. An acquisition is a purchase price plus diligence. Which is cheaper depends entirely on the specific entity and how quickly you need to be live, and the two are rarely close to identical.
The scope of what you are licensed to do
A narrow permission and a broad one are not the same application. The wider the range of activities and instruments you want to offer, the more the regulator expects to see, and the more the build costs. Scoping permissions to what you actually need, rather than everything you might one day want, is one of the easiest ways to keep cost sane.
The infrastructure around the licence
Banking, payments, liquidity, the trading platform, the CRM. None of this is the licence itself, but all of it is part of standing up a working brokerage. The cost here depends on how much you build versus buy, and how much of the heavy lifting you take on yourself.
Why we quote properly, not publicly
Put those drivers together and you can see why a real figure only exists once we understand your jurisdiction, your permissions, your route, and your scope. We give you a firm, tailored number in a first consultation, under NDA. We do not publish indicative prices, because an indicative price for the wrong version of your business is worse than no price at all.
A real figure is a conversation away, not a web-page away. Outline your business when you want it priced against the version you are actually building.
